Here is an example of an ornament where a familiar image—a Christmas stocking—has been duplicated and brought to great visual prominence. This LED Stocking Empty is 25 x 15 inches in size and features 50 LEDs of the following colors: red, green, and white. The red lights make out the general outline of the stocking; the white lights for the hem; the green lights for the heel and toe. Even though this is a two-dimensional ornament, the hem has been designed to create the impression of a three-dimensional Christmas stocking with the open hem turned forward.
