House of Holiday Affiliate Program Terms

Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

The Christmas Store and More, and the elves who help us spread the word

Last updated: July 12, 2026

Welcome, and thank you for wanting to help us sprinkle a little holiday magic. These terms explain how our affiliate program works, how you earn, and what we each agree to. We have kept the legal fog as thin as we can and written it the way we would explain it to a friend over cocoa. Please give it a read before you join, because signing up means you are saying yes to everything below.

In these terms, House of Holiday is referred to as "we," "us," or "our," and you, our affiliate partner, are "you" or "your."

1.Joining the program

Joining is by our approval, and we get to decide who is a good fit for the House of Holiday family. To take part, you need to be at least 18 years old, give us accurate information about yourself and where you will be promoting us, and keep to a single affiliate account per person. If your information changes, please keep it current so we can pay you correctly. We may approve or decline any application at our own discretion, and a decision to decline is final.

2.How you earn

Once you are approved, you get a unique referral link (and, where offered, a coupon code). When a customer clicks your link and places a valid, paid order, you earn a commission. Your commission rate is shown in your affiliate dashboard. Rates can differ from one affiliate to another, so yours is simply yours. Commission is calculated on the product subtotal of the order, meaning the price of the goods themselves.

If we assign you a branded coupon code, it will appear in your dashboard. Please promote only a code we have actually given you. And if a customer uses both your link and your coupon on the same order, that order earns one commission, not two.

3.What does not earn a commission

A few things are left out of commission, because they are not really products we profit on:

  • Gift cards
  • The Free Returns & Exchanges and Package Protection add-on
  • Shipping charges, taxes, and tips

We may add other exclusions from time to time, and when we do we will note them in the program so there are no surprises.

4.Pre-orders and made-to-order items

Some of our treasures are pre-orders or made to order, which means they ship later than a normal item. For these, your commission is earned and credited only once the item is actually fulfilled and shipped, not at the moment the order is placed. If a pre-order is cancelled or refunded before it ships, no commission is due on it.

5.How referrals are tracked

We track referrals using the cookie placed by your link, on a last-click basis, which means the most recent affiliate link a customer used gets the credit. The tracking cookie lasts for 30 days from the click. Because tracking depends on cookies, if a customer blocks or clears their cookies we may be unable to see the referral, and we cannot pay commission on activity we are not able to track. During the tracking window, repeat orders from the same customer still credit you, even without another click. Please confirm this window against your program settings before publishing.

6.Changing your commission rate

We may adjust commission rates at any time and for any reason, including seasonal changes to how the program runs. If we change your rate, we will let you know before it takes effect, and the new rate will apply only to sales made after that point. Any commission you have already earned at your old rate stays exactly as it was.

7.Returns, cancellations, and chargebacks

Because a sale is not truly final until the return window has passed, commissions can be reversed. If an order tied to your link is later refunded, cancelled, or charged back, the related commission is removed from your balance. This keeps things fair for everyone. As part of a fair-use policy, we may review each referral order before a commission is approved.

8.Getting paid

You choose how you would like to be paid from the payout methods we currently offer, which include PayPal, Venmo, Payoneer, and more. Payouts are made once your balance reaches a minimum of $25, on a monthly schedule, after a short holding period that lets returns settle. You are responsible for any taxes on what you earn, and affiliates based in the United States will be asked to provide a W-9. Please double-check the minimum and schedule against your program settings before publishing.

9.Honesty and disclosure

The law, and plain good manners, asks you to be open about our relationship. When you promote us, please clearly disclose that you are a House of Holiday affiliate, using something like #ad, #sponsored, or a simple note that you earn a commission. Keep your claims about our products truthful, and never promise things we have not said ourselves.

10.Playing fair

To keep the program healthy and welcoming, please do not:

  • Use your own link for your own purchases, or those of your household, to collect commission on yourself
  • Post your links or codes on coupon, deal, or cashback sites unless we have agreed to it in writing
  • Bid on "House of Holiday," our product names, or common misspellings in paid search ads
  • Send spam, or promote us in any unlawful, misleading, or off-brand way
  • Pretend to be us, or use our name, logo, and images beyond the marketing assets we provide

Please also keep your promotion of us away from sensitive or off-brand places. Without our written approval in advance, do not promote House of Holiday through:

  • Adult content sites or platforms
  • Illegal content or file-sharing sites
  • Sites promoting violence, hate speech, or discrimination
  • Gambling or betting platforms
  • Cryptocurrency or other high-risk investment schemes

11.Contests and giveaways

As part of the House of Holiday family, affiliates sit on our side of the curtain rather than in the audience. So while you are in the program, you are not eligible to enter our public contests, giveaways, sweepstakes, or similar promotions. It keeps everything fair and above board for our shoppers, who are the ones those bits of fun are meant for.

12.Ending the program or your account

Either of us can end this agreement at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. We may also suspend or close your account at our discretion, particularly if these terms are broken. We may pause, change, or close the whole program whenever we choose, which for a seasonal shop like ours is simply part of the rhythm of the year. If your account ends on good terms, you will still receive any valid commissions you have already earned once they have cleared the return window. Commissions tied to fraud or abuse will not be paid.

13.Our relationship

You take part as an independent partner, not as an employee, agent, or business partner of House of Holiday. Nothing here creates a partnership or employment relationship, and you cannot make promises or enter agreements on our behalf.

14.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our program grows. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If you keep taking part after a change, that counts as accepting the updated terms.
